CAPTURING AUTHENTICITY THROUGH SIMPLICITY
For this project, we approached indie artist Matt Michienzie with the idea of filming stripped-down live performances of his new songs. Wanting to find visuals that complemented the music, we chose two distinct locations—a mountaintop for its openness and introspection, and a city alley for its raw, urban feel.CAPTURING THE PERFORMANCE
Matt’s performances were so compelling that we kept the filming minimal, using long, uninterrupted takes to preserve their authenticity. With a limit of three takes per song, we focused on simplicity, letting the setting and performance speak for themselves.FINAL OUTCOME
In post-production, we maintained this minimal approach, reinforcing the power of unfiltered live music. The result was a series of visually striking, emotionally resonant sessions that proved sometimes, less is more.
