For Vigilant, director Anna Baumgarten envisioned a unique visual metaphor—a dollhouse representing the heart, with Laura Holliday protecting it. We collaborated closely to expand this idea, integrating a noir-inspired detective storyline to emphasize the song’s theme of vigilance in love.Filmed entirely in a white cyc studio, we transformed a single space into visually distinct scenes using creative lighting, production design, and costuming. Camera movements varied—from dolly shots to handheld—to enhance the emotional depth of each moment. The biggest challenge was executing multiple looks within one location and a single-day shoot, requiring precise planning and adaptability.By blending symbolism with striking visuals, we crafted a music video that powerfully reflects Vigilant’s themes. The final product successfully captures both the song’s meaning and an engaging cinematic style, earning positive recognition.
